READING
This week we will be reading the trade book A Chair For My Mother. Books will not be sent home. Students will have a passage to work on reading nightly. Be sure to work on this passage. We will work on vocabulary and comprehension skills.
Vocabulary words are : empty, bargain, boost, savings, exchange, delivered
Our Power Word will be different words we over use. Students will find words that mean the same but are more powerful words. This will help us add a variety of words in our writing.


MATH
This week we will be working on the hundreds places.
Students will be doing a variety of
activities to learn about this concept.
We still are working on our 2 digit addition skills.
We are adding three 2 digit numbers.
Students now have –3 cards.
Please practice all cards.
Study your addition and
subtraction facts!

Christmas Tree

Here is your Christmas tree
Standing right up tall.
Here’s a pot to hold its trunk
So that it won’t fall.
Here are balls to make it happy
One ball, two balls, see?
And here are two bright lights of red
To trim the Christmas tree.
